And, now the beautification starts! These are the beginnings of my new gardens and some of the plants we have been adding around the house. It's feeling more like ours now that our blood, sweat, and tears are fully embedded into the land. The pups still love it. Thankfully, we can leave the backdoor open and they come and go from the yard. Since we have so many trees, we have plentiful squirrels. Some of the little buggers dug out my many of my plants while we were gone for Memorial Day weekend and they continue to mess with smaller plants...annoying but to be expected with all of the space we have for them to roam.

Winter 2013-2014
For my first winter in Indiana, we had over 64 inches total of snow from November through March. The most in any one snow fall was around 11-12 inches which was on top of what was left of about 8 or so...equaling about 18 on the ground. Even Nick stayed home from work several days because we were on travel restrictions pretty much state-wide for a while. The pups loved it...well, Baby thought it was fun on occasion but Larry would have lived outside, if we had allowed.
Our First Christmas in our new house.
And, it was stupid cold many many days! I missed the -17 by a few seconds...
